Safety in Rope – required class for DMs
How to be safe in rope.
Come join us for a class in rope safety, how to monitor a rope scene, how to help if needed and what to look for in rope scenes. This class is required for DM’s at the LoftNC.
Bunny Luna (they/them) is an agender ecosexual artist, educator, and facilitator with a background in rope bondage & kink, rope installations, photography & modeling, yoga, aerial silks, somatics, and event organizing.
They started their rope journey as a toddler, trying to tie their dad to a chair with clear tape when they were about 2 years old. Around 2010 Bunny started their “official” rope journey and in 2016 they experienced their first rope suspension, along with their first injury from rope. They took a few years off after their injury, then in summer 2022 their passion for rope was reignited! They have spent many hours learning from folks one on one in person, at rope labs and jams, at workshops and group classes, and through online resources such as Shibari Study, Crash Restraint, and Rope365. Bunny was Shibari Study’s student of the month for May 2023, has been a rope performer for PUSH in Durham since Nov 2023, and became their rope lead in October 2025.
In summer 2024 they installed a semi permanent treenet as an outdoor event space for Bright Haven Farm in Huntersville. In summer 2025 Bunny installed a temporary “2 story” indoor treenet as part of Chromatic Roots, an immersive experience created by 30+ local artists in Charlotte.

Doors open at 1 pm, class begins at 2 pm, open play follows until 8 pm.
Cost
$20 for this class is to help defray cost of utilities. Membership is NOT required for this class. You may pay by one of these methods or at the door – please add note to designate event date:

Waivers:
If you have already completed your waivers you do NOT need to do them again. Information email including address provided with completed and accepted Waivers – you will receive an email from WaiverForever that says “Thank You for Signing”. If you don’t see this please check your spam/junk folder.
