Presented by a person who has been beating people for many years (sometimes consensual), this class is given to answer many questions people never have and to pique your interest in the oldest corporal art.
Many people harbor irrational fears of caning because of their inexperience (or the wrong experience, in some cases) – but cane strokes can be as gentle as a breeze or as subtle as a level 9 earthquake followed by a tsunami of pain.
Light or heavy – that is how this class is presented… mostly, it all depends on your questions. Sit a spell and see what it is all really about = it’s just a way to say relax/chill and learn about caning.
Caning… it’s not just for parochial school anymore = as you probably know, canes were used as punishment in schools.

As D/s Lifestylers, KJ and his girl (Tara) had a pretty extensive toy bag, but noticed that most of the canes they had were bound with electrical or gym tape, which would eventually start to peel off. The sticky residue from the peeling tape would then get on KJ’s hands and gloves and he cursed about it every time they played. In 2001 they were living in New York and as a result of 9/11, KJ was out of work. One day, they were doing a scene; as usual, he cursed the look and feel of the canes with tape on them. That’s when KJ’s girl finally said,
“You’re an engineer… You’re out of work… why not make a better cane?”
To which he replied, “Challenge accepted!” This was before How I Met your Mother ever even exited.
So he researched it ad nauseum, did a few trials/errors and met the challenge… Then friends noticed and liked their canes, asking him to make one for them.
…And so began KJ Canes.
Seeing that there was a market and a desire for their products, KJ Canes (the business) was founded in January 2002, they built a website and began vending at trade shows and kink conventions around the US as well as Toronto, Canada. Slowly, they began adding other products by inventing new toys and purchasing inventory from friends who were going out of business.
KJ & Tara are Poly BDSM Kinksters and love getting out and meeting people, attending the events, presenting and speaking at events, playing and, and, and….
So you see… The business sort of just “fell into their laps,” a little at a time.

Please bring a dish or snack to share – proteins, fruit, vegetables to dip, all are welcome. Donations of soda, k-cups, paper products are always welcome.
Membership:
The LoftNC is as private members only BDSM club and was founded to provide a safe and secure environment for our members and guests. Please note we are a BDSM club NOT a Swing Club. The location of our club home is provided only to our members and attendees and is not available on any maps or search engines. Paying your membership is a requirement as we are a private club with membership rules that allow us to have the type of activities we enjoy. Vetting
Because we are an educational venue we do our own vetting as we firmly believe that no one should be denied the ability to learn and grow. The LoftNC is a SAFE SPACE free from judgment and drama and we work very hard to maintain it as such. So complete your Waivers (see below) and come join us so we can get to know you.
Waivers:
If you have already completed your waivers you do NOT need to do them again. Information email including address provided with completed and accepted Waivers – you will receive an email from WaiverForever that says “Thank You for Signing”. If you don’t see this please check your spam/junk folder.
